New Organization: Secretary Onboarding Phases

These instructions apply to a new organization getting started using groupable. This does not apply to a new secretary taking over a local that has already been using groupable.

Phase 1, Part 1: Getting Started Training

1. How to get access to groupable and create your account
2. Find your way around
3. Roster: print it out or export as excel spreadsheet
4. Homework: Review your Roster and make note of any:
   
   1. Members who need to be marked inactive (NPDs, Demits, Deceased, Expulsions, etc)
   2. New members who need to be added (or plural affiliated)
   3. Inactive members who need to be reactivated
   4. Be ready with these before Part 2

Phase 1, Part 2: Roster Training

1. Update your Roster
   1. Add all types of events to make members inactive (NPDs, Demits, Deceased, Expulsions, etc)
   2. Add new members
   3. Activate Inactive Members
2. Homework: Review Glossary of Groupable Terms

Phase 2: Member Management Training

1. Watch How To Playlist
2. Attend a scheduled Member Management Training to deepen your understanding in how to update your member records
   1. Contact Information
   2. Bio Info
   3. Review member event management
3. Add Certificate of Election for your local to update local officers if necessary
4. Send an email to your members that you're using a new system to manage members, dues, email blasts, etc

Phase 3: Finances

1. Watch Finances Playlist
2. Attend a scheduled Finances Management Training to learn how to use the Finances (Dues, Income/Expenses)
3. Assign Member Types
4. Set Up Dues For the First Time

Phase 4: Member Engagement

1. groupable|m2: Learn how to send emails
2. OLP:
   1. Populate OLP Calendars, News, etc
   2. Email Dues Notices
   3. Set up Merchant Account to Accept Online Payments from Members
