Are you a Groupable Secretary? Here’s what you need to know if you currently hold a WePay Merchant Account and are in dues or event season…click here.
⏰ Onboard to Stripe as soon as we go live if you are actively accepting dues, donations, or other payments.
Our former merchant, WePay, will no longer be processing transactions for Groupable Locals Groups beginning September 30, 2024. If you are in dues season, we will prioritize your onboarding by September 30, 2024. Once we go live, follow this step-by-step guide to get started. **ONBOARDING COMING SOON**
Not in dues season? No problem. Simply onboard to Stripe when you’re setting up the next dues season.
✅ Full implementation across all products
Stripe integration is currently being finalized and tested across our Groupable system. Once you switch to Stripe, all future transactions will be processed through them, and your members will make their online payments in groupable|connect, our next-generation Member Portal.
🐛 Bugs to Note
If you’ve been around software for any length of time, you know there are always things to be fleshed out after an initial release. Our Development Team is working tirelessly to refine the Groupable-Stripe onboarding process. We’ll post here with any current issues we see customers experiencing and what needs to be done:
- Stripe integration & onboarding is in testing and preparing for deployment.
- Stripe is addressing the URL and EIN requirements for our organizations. Beta Testers may have their URL rejected until Stripe updates the requirements for 501c8 and 501c10s.
- No new accounts may onboard until Stripe addresses the URL requirement internally. We'll keep you updated.
💡 Additional Things to Note
While these are not software bugs per se, they are things we’re hearing about and wanted to bring to your attention to help you have a smooth onboarding:
- Stripe Requires a Physical Address: Organizations cannot use a PO Box; however, the pre-filled data Groupable sends to Stripe may include a PO box if that’s what’s in the Groupable Info/Officers or Secretary information. This PO Box must be updated to a physical address to successfully onboard Stripe.
- Didn’t finish your onboarding the first time? Your account has been created as long as you made a password with Stripe. You should be able to log in and pick up where you left off.
📈 Transaction Reports
If you have previously processed transactions with WePay, those payouts/settlements will still be available at wepay.com/login and the Groupable Officer Funds Transfer reports.
👋🏻 Say Goodbye to Groupable AutoPay
With this transition, we have sunsetted the AutoPay BETA feature in OLP/Groupable. We previously offered organizations the option to allow members to sign up for AutoPay installments, but this is no longer an option. You will see partial payments available from day one.
💁♀️ Need help?
Should you have any questions or need assistance during the transition process, our support team is here for the Groupable side of the transition, and Stripe’s customer support is there for everything else! Our team is committed to ensuring a smooth and stress-free transition for all our valued customers.
We're confident that the new merchant experience with Stripe will elevate your membership efforts and help you achieve even greater success.
