The groupable|m2 system is designed to calculate Years in Good Standing (YGS) for organizations that honor active years in good standing for awards, certificates, or pins.
The Adjusted Start Date is the calculated date of good standing based from today, taking into consideration all missed days of inactive membership.
A member with no lost time would have a YGS adjusted start date that matches the date that they became a full member.
A member who was inactive for exactly one year due to Demit or NPD or another inactive period would have an Adjusted Start Date one year in the future from their original anniversary date of becoming a full member.
Adjusted Start Date = (Full Member Date) - (inactive days)
Example:
If, for example, a member became a full member on 01/01/2000 and demitted on 01/01/2005, and rejoined on 06/01/2007, and now it is 12/31/2010, their adjusted start date would be calculated in the following way, including any days for leap years:
01/01/2000 - (2 years 6 months) = 06/01/2002
Notes:
- What if my organization doesn't care about YGS and only looks at your original raising date? When your organization uses an anniversary date, all awards/certificates produced from groupable|m2 will be based entirely on that date and disregard any YGS calculation.
