Dues Categories

The Dues Categories can be accessed from Financials > Dues / Arrears 

At the right side of the Dues / Arrears page, you can add and edit your group's Dues Categories:

Dues Categories Table:

• your list of Dues Categories
• number of members in each category (click the count to view a list of all active and/or inactive members in this type)
• current dues rate
• edit the name and/or the dues rate for each Dues Categories
• "reset" to update the Dues Owed for all members in this Dues Categories
• delete an unused Dues Categories (this is not available for any Dues Categories currently in use by active or inactive members).

Commonly asked questions:

1. What if I have a member who is a Life Member of my local group (Chapter, Lodge, Forest, etc)?

Answer: Create a "Life Member" Dues Category with the total amount owed for their annual dues and fees. In some cases, this dues owed is $0.00. In others, they may still owe per-capita to the Grand Body. Be sure to include any per-capita dollar amount.

2. What if a member is a Life Member at the Grand Body AND the local group level?

Answer: Create a "Grand Life/Local Life" Dues Category with the total amount owed of $0.00 unless they owe any other mandatory fees for the year. These might be, for example... insurance fees, meal fees, parking fees, etc.
