This guide is for anyone who has logged in to M2 and wants to know what the first screen shows. What you see on Home depends on the role you're using: a local group (the individual unit of your organization, such as a chapter or council), a district (a grouping of local groups), a region (a grouping of districts), or the parent group (the organization above your local groups, such as a state or national body).
Some organizations use their own words for a few of the names in this guide.
Get to Home
After you log in, M2 opens Home. If you followed a link to another screen first, M2 opens that screen instead.
To come back to Home from any screen, click Home at the top of the main menu. The house icon and the M2 logo in the top bar do the same thing, and so does the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + H (Option on a Mac). To find the main menu, see Use the Menus to Get Around in M2. For the other shortcuts, see Keyboard Shortcuts in M2.

What every Home screen has
Under the top bar, a row of names called breadcrumbs shows where you are. It starts with your parent group and ends with the page you're on. Click a name to go up to that level.
Below the breadcrumbs is a row of tabs. The tab you're on is highlighted. Click another tab to open it.
Most tables have a search box above them. Type in it to filter the table. Click a column heading to sort by that column. The Copy, Excel, CSV, PDF, and Print buttons below a table copy, save, or print what the table shows. A menu icon above a table with more than two columns lets you choose which columns appear.
Home for a local group
Your tabs are Overview, Communications, Info/Officers, Recent Activity, Income & Expenses, Untransferred Funds, Stripe Payments, Dues & Arrears, and Reports/Filings. Income & Expenses and Untransferred Funds appear only when your role can see your local group's finances. Stripe Payments also needs your organization to use Stripe.
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Overview | Your members, your emails, and the numbers that need attention. Details are in the next section. |
| Communications | How many members have an email address, a cell phone number, and a good postal address. Your recent emails and mailing lists. If your organization uses Connect, your recent Connect posts and upcoming events. |
| Info/Officers | Your local group's address, status, dates, and tax information. Your officers, other users who have access, and stated communications. See Local Info/Officers screen (including updating Stated Meetings/Communications). |
| Recent Activity | Three lists: Member Events, Receipts, and Expenses. Receipts shows the 30 most recent payment lines, one row for each account a payment went to. Expenses shows your 30 most recent expenses. |
| Income & Expenses | Your income and expenses for a date range, broken down by account, fund, and receipt type. See Income / Expenses. |
| Untransferred Funds | Receipts that haven't been transferred yet, with totals by payer, receipt type, account, and fund. If you can record finances, the green plus above the table starts a funds transfer. See Untransferred Funds. |
| Stripe Payments | Online payments through Stripe: receipts from the last 90 days, online funds transfers, and your Stripe payments and payouts. If your local group hasn't signed up yet, a local group role that handles finances sees a Signup button, and everyone else sees a note that the group hasn't signed up. |
| Dues & Arrears | Members who owe dues or arrears, what was paid and owed in each year, and your dues categories. If your local group isn't tracking dues yet, the tab shows a short getting-started video. See Dues / Arrears. |
| Reports/Filings | Annual Returns if you have any, Annual Membership Activity Reports if your organization uses them, Certificates of Election, and Financial Reports if you have any. |

If something looks different
A tab is missing
Check which role you're using. Open your account menu and look for the role in bold. If another role has the tab, switch to it, as described in Switch Roles and Set Your Default Role. If none of your roles does, ask the person who looks after user accounts in your organization to check your role's permissions and whether your organization uses that feature.
My Home has less on it than a colleague's
Home follows your role's permissions. A role that can't see everything about a local group, district, region, or parent group gets a shorter version of that page. Ask the person who looks after user accounts in your organization which permissions your role has.
