Guest or Contact profiles are created by local groups to track the local group's subscribers, guests, individuals who might be members or officers of other locals in the organization but whom they cannot otherwise contact in the database.
There is also a System-Managed "Non-Member" Contact for each local group that allows a secretary to record payments from non-members.
When the secretary creates this guest profile, it usually includes contact information so that the guest may be added to the buffer or a mailing list, be emailed about events, and so the secretary can even track any donations to the local group that have been made by this person.
These guest records are the property of the individual local group and are displayed in the "Others" tab on the overview screen.
