In general, Groupable|m2 has four types of User Accounts that span the organizational structure of the organization:
- Admin (Group Only)
- Read-Write (all levels)
- Read-Only (all levels)
- Connect Webmaster (all levels)
Admin Role:
- Added to individuals on a case-by-case basis who have a need to perform Administrative tasks in Groupable.
- Group level only; can only be added by another Admin
Read-Write Users generally include the following:
Group:
- Grand Secretary or equivalent
- Additional Users added manually as Read-Write at the Group Level
District, Region, Area:
- Presiding Officer (like DDGM)
- Additional Users added manually with Read-Write access
Local:
- secretary, acting secretary, assistant secretary
- Additional Users added manually with Read-Write access
Read-Write Accounts provide a variety of permissions at different levels of the organization:
- Local Level: edit of member and financial data
- Connect Webmaster Access
Secretary Read-Write Accounts Additionally Allow:
- perform administrative tasks and filings to Parent Body (this is often only accessible to the elected or acting secretary, per Parent Body regulations/code)
Read-Only Users generally include the following:
- some or all elected officers
- additional users added at the Local, District, Region, or Group level
Local Read-Only Accounts Provide:
- view-only access to local membership and local financials
- edit of member contact information
- Connect Webmaster Access
Connect Webmasters:
- For those members who will be assisting with Groupable|Connect management (management of calendars, news posts, photos, files, and more) who don't automatically receive Connect Webmaster permissions by purvue of a Read-Write or Read-Only permission, simply add "Connect Webmaster" at the appropriate level: Group, Region, District, or Local.
Notes:
- there's no need to add Connect Webmaster to anyone with Read-Only or Read-Write permissions; Connect Webmaster access is included by default
- your Parent Body has its own rules around access to groupable|m2.
