The Service Certificates report lists members who reach a service milestone (5 years, 10 years, 15 years, and so on) between two dates you choose. This guide is for parent group and local group secretaries who want to see who is due for a certificate or lapel pin and print the order form.
Who is on the report
A member is on the report when both of these are true:
- They are a full member.
- One of their 5-year milestones falls between the start date and end date you choose.
M2 counts years from the member's adjusted start date, which leaves out time when their membership lapsed. To learn how that date works, read What is an Adjusted Start Date; how are Years in Good Standing Calculated.
Run the report
- Open the report one of these ways:
- Click Reports in the main menu, then click Service Certificates.
- From a local group, click My Local, then Service Certificates. This link appears only if your organization has turned it on for your role.
- In Start Date, enter the first day of the time period you want, such as 01/01/2026.
- In End Date, enter the last day of the time period, such as 12/31/2026. The start date can't be after the end date.
- If you work for the parent group, choose the local groups you want in Locals. Leave it blank to include all local groups. If you're signed in as a local group officer, M2 includes only your local group, and this box doesn't appear.
- Click Generate Report.
Read the results
M2 shows three lists:
| List | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Summary | How many members reach each milestone, such as 3 members at 15 years. |
| Local Summary | The same counts for each local group. |
| Service Certificates | One row for each member: Local, Member Number, Name, Raised (the date they became a full member), and Year (the milestone they reach). |
Click a member's name to open their member record. To keep a copy of a list, use the buttons under it: Copy, Excel, CSV, PDF, or Print.
Print the order form
- Run the report as described above.
- Click Print Order Form, next to Generate Report.
- The order form opens as a PDF in a new browser tab. Use your browser's print or save button to print it or keep a copy.
If the report has more than 500 members, M2 prepares the order form in the background and opens the My Downloads screen instead. Save the file there when its status says Completed. To learn more, read Download a Finished Report from My Downloads in M2.
What's on the order form
The order form prints sideways (landscape), with one page for each local group. Each page has:
- The local group's name and the dates the form covers.
- A Lodge Contact Person box with blank lines for a name, address, and phone number.
- A row for each member, with check boxes for Pin and Cert, and the member's Years, Title, Name, Raised date, and GLNUM.
- Blank spaces to fill in by hand: Presentation Date, and Send To (check the secretary, circle the individual or widow, or write the other organization's abbreviation).
- Notes at the bottom explaining the years and how to request a presentation by another organization, and a FOR OFFICE USE box.
Fill in the blank spaces by hand, and send the form to your parent group the way your organization asks.
