Finding Members
From the Home screen, you have three Find Member options:
1. When the member is part of the current local group you are viewing, use the Member table to search for their name.
Use this search field in your Active Members, incoming members, Inactives, and Others.
Inactive members include your Deceased, NPD, Demitted, etc., members.
Others include Honorary, Widows, Guests, and Subscribers.
2. The search bar can be reached by entering the "/" (slash) key - simply type "/" (slash) to get this search bar and quickly type a name.
Here you can combine different search terms to create robust searches. For example:
Search phrase: Smith city: "New York": This search would find everyone who has an address in New York who has Smith in their name.
City:Denver status:NPD lodge:"Paul Revere": This would find all members who are currently NPD, have a Denver address and have an affiliation with Paul Revere Lodge.

3. The Find Member from the menu bar Members > Find Member opens a Classic Search:
Here your search options are as follows (see screenshot):
The search form contains fields for the Last name, First Name, Member Number, Lodge, status, and member type. There are additional parameters that are excluded (-) by default. They include: by distance, by birth date, by notes, exclusions, some "other" parameters, and the ability to add your search results to the Mailing Screen buffer.
As you can see in this example, when it comes to searching by name, less is definitely more.
To get to the desired member record, simply click on the member's name. During the same session of using groupable:m2, previously visited member records will appear on the find member screen whenever you return to it.
Adding your Search to the Buffer
If you were looking to engage these members, select the Buffer tab at the bottom of the search menu. Click the checkmark next to "Buffer results." You will then need to press the search button to add them to the buffer so you can send them an email, mailing, or print a report on their status.
