How to Navigate Connect
Connect is organized into a menu on the left side of the screen, tabs across the top of each group’s page, and a profile menu in the top right corner. This guide shows you how to move around the platform.
The Main Menu
On a computer screen, the main menu appears down the left side of every page. On a phone or smaller tablet, click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner to open it, and click it again to close it.
The main menu is organized into a few sections:
Your local or group
- If you are viewing a specific local’s (the individual unit within your organization, such as a lodge, chapter, or local committee) or group’s page, the top of the menu lists that local’s pages: Home, News, Calendar, Photos, Files, Officers, Past Officers, any custom pages the local has created, and Contact Us.
- Webmasters (the people responsible for administering a group’s Connect site) also see Add a Page and Admin Dashboard here.
Your links (visible once you are logged in)
- My Feed – recent news from the locals and groups you follow
- My Calendar – events you are connected to
- My Profile – your own membership information, contact details, and privacy settings
- My Requests – a place to track help requests you’ve submitted
My Groups
- Lists the locals and groups you belong to or follow, with a quick link to each one’s page
Directory (visible once you are logged in)
- A searchable list of the locals in your organization
Viewing a Local or Group Page
When you are on a local’s or group’s page, you will see tabs across the top for Home, News, Calendar, Photos, Files, Officers, Past Officers, any custom pages the local has added, and Contact Us. Webmasters also see an Admin tab.
To switch between tabs: Click the tab name. The tab you are on is highlighted.
Your Profile Menu
Click your name in the top right corner of the page to open your profile menu. From here you can go to:
- My Profile – view and update your photo, contact information, and privacy settings
- My Requests – your submitted help requests
- Log Out
The App Switcher
If you have access to more than one Groupable module (such as Groupable|m2), look for the grid icon near the top of the page. Clicking it shows a list of the apps you can switch to.
Breadcrumbs
Most pages show a trail of links near the top of the page, called breadcrumbs, showing where you are. Click any part of the trail to jump back to that page.
Example: Home > Harmony Lodge > Calendar
Using the Back Button
Your browser’s back button always works in Connect and takes you to the page you were on before.

To find a specific local in your organization:
- From the main menu, click Directory.
- Use the search box above the list to type the local’s name, number, or city.
- Click the local’s name in the results to visit its page.
