Who Can Log In to Groupable?
Gaining groupable|m2 Access
Groupable|m2 is the member management and communications system for your local, district, and parent organization.
Your Parent Organization has rules for access to the groupable|m2 database. Groupable|m2 restricts access according to those permissions and offices held.
Different Offices in your organization are automatically set to receive specific permissions.
Other members receive Subordinate User Roles or Additional User Roles manually.
When these permissions are active via a Current Office Held or Additional User, the user is able to log in automatically.
Please contact your Parent Organization/Grand Lodge if you have any questions about whether you have access to the database.
Losing groupable|m2 Access
When someone's office held or permission is terminated in the database, that access to groupable|m2 goes away automatically, leaving just Groupable|Connect access.
When a member record becomes inactive in groupable|m2 (whether died, demitted, NPD, or suspended), then that user access to everything - both to m2 and Connect - is terminated instantly at all levels.
Gaining Groupable|Connect Access
All active members are eligible for a Groupable User Account with access to Groupable|Connect.
Some offices and permissions provide Connect Webmaster access.
Losing Groupable|Connect Access
When a user's Webmaster permission or office that provides Webmaster permissions is terminated, their Connect Webmaster access is automatically removed.
Whenever a member status becomes inactive in groupable|m2 (died, demitted, NPD, suspended, etc), then their access to Groupable|Connect is terminated automatically.
Inviting a Member to Create a Groupable Account or Reset Password
Anyone who can view the full member record can also invite a member to create their account or reset their password.
When a member is already eligible for a user account, the Parent Group Users, District Officers, or Local Officers can "Invite member to create account" from the eligible person's Member Record:
In this screenshot below, you can see that this Treasurer, for example, is eligible for a Groupable Account that will allow them access to groupable|m2 and Groupable|Connect.
Click this Invite Link: At this time the member will receive an email and text invitation at any emails and phone numbers on the member record.
Requirements: Member must have a cell phone or email at which to receive this invitation and also to create their account.
If "invite user to create their account" is not available - check for a primary email address and/or cell phone.
