M2 is Groupable's system for keeping member records, tracking dues, and managing a local group's money and mailings. This page is for anyone new to M2, such as a secretary or other officer of a local group (the individual unit of your organization, such as a chapter or council).
Earlier versions of this system were called MORI Classic. You use M2 in a web browser, so there's nothing to install. For what your computer or phone needs, see Technical Requirements for M2 and Connect.
One set of records for your whole organization
Each member has one record in your organization, and that record lists the local groups the member belongs to. Your local group and your parent group (the organization above your local groups, such as a state or national body) both work from that same record. There's no second copy to keep up to date.
What each person can see or change depends on their roles.
When you record a change, such as a death or a member leaving a local group, M2 saves it right away. You pick the change from a list of events set up for your organization. Anyone whose role lets them see that member sees the change as soon as it's saved.
What you can do in M2
These are the main entries in the M2 menu. Most of them show only when the role you're using is a local group role. The last row needs one of your roles to be a parent group role.
| If you want to | Open |
|---|---|
| Look up a member or add a new person | Members/Contacts, then Search or Add |
| See your local group's roster, birthdays, and years of service | Members/Contacts, then Roster, Birthday Report, or Years of Service Report |
| Record dues payments and see who owes dues | Financials, then Add Payments or Dues / Arrears |
| Keep your local group's books | Financials, then entries such as Income / Expenses, Checkbook, Bank Accounts, and Budget |
| Email members or print mailing labels | Mailing, then Email Members or Labels, Envelopes, Mail Merge, and Export |
| Keep a mailing list | Mailing, then Mailing Lists |
| Review your local group's information, certificates of election, and member activity reports | My Local |
| Look up the local groups in your organization | Local Groups, then Locals |
You may not see every entry, because M2 builds the menu from your role and your organization's features. For details, see What you see depends on your role in Use the Menus to Get Around in M2.
Other Groupable apps
M2 is one of several apps. Connect is your organization's site for members and visitors, with pages such as News, Calendar, Photos, Files, and Officers. Raiser, marked BETA, tracks donations and pledges for your organization's funds.
To switch apps, see Switch to another app in Use the Menus to Get Around in M2.
